Alessandro Bertolazzi

Alessandro Bertolazzi has enjoyed a longtime collaboration with director David Ayer. The two have teamed up on numerous projects, including Fury, Bright and Suicide Squad—which earned Bertolazzi the 2017 Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling Oscar alongside Giorgio Gregorini and Christopher Nelson. Bertolazzi’s other recent credits as hair and make-up designer include The King, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, To the Wonder and The Impossible. He has worked as a personal make-up artist for Javier Bardem, Naomi Watts and Monica Bellucci. Bertolazzi’s work as make-up department head on Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu’s Biutiful earned him a nomination for a Mexican Ariel Award for Best Makeup.

Anthony Giordano

Anthony Giordano—a special effects fabricator, make-up artist and licensed instructor—has worked on The Last Samurai, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Saturday Night Live. He was a Disney set and costume fabricator and created NASA training suits. He worked on Broadway productions Young Frankenstein and Shrek The Musical. Musician clients include Madonna, Metallica, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Johnny Cash, David Bowie and more. He is the owner/creator of the haunted attraction State Scare.
Barrie Gower

Barrie Gower

Barrie Gower graduated from the London College of Fashion, where he studied specialist make-up. His first job was at the BBC Visual Effects department, followed by his first major film, Saving Private Ryan. He has worked for industry leaders such as Weta Workshop and Rick Baker. He contributed to the prosthetics for Oscar-winning films The Wolfman and The Iron Lady.  Gower was prosthetics designer for HBO’s Game of Thrones for Seasons 4-8, which earned him three Primetime Emmys and a MUAHS Guild Award.  His work can currently be seen in HBO’s Chernobyl and the upcoming Rocketman.

Brian Kinney

Brian Kinney is a prime time Emmy-nominated make-up artist and a Journeyman in IATSE Hollywood Local 706 Make-up Artists and Hairstylists Guild, where he serves as Makeup Craft President and Executive Board Member. Since training at the Delamar Academy in London, England, Kinney has worked professionally for almost 20 years on set, in FX labs, and as a teacher in classrooms across North America and Europe, making his contribution in film, television, theater, and print. His work can be seen regularly in feature films and television shows, such as Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Westworld, the Hunger Games series and CSI franchise.

Chloe Muton-Phillips

Chloe Muton-Phillips has worked in film and TV for the last 11 years and specializes in prosthetic make-up and hair work.  She graduated from the London College of Fashion where she studied BA (hons) Make-up and Prosthetics for the Performing Arts .  She began her career on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows alongside Nick Dudman and since then her credits include: The Revenant, Thor, Dark Shadows, Warhorse, Star Wars, Rocketman and Game of thrones.

Chris Lyons

Chris Lyons is a prolific make-up artist who specializes in character teeth and prosthetic facial effects for film, television, theater and multimedia promotional productions. Lyons heads up a team of very talented professionals at Fangs FX, based in Buckinghamshire. Fangs is a team of dedicated make-up artists. Every challenge is met with imaginative design and skill. This is reflected in the clientele who have come to rely on Lyons and his team, from award-winning personal make-up artists to special effects companies who have gone on to win BAFTAs and Oscars.

Danny Marie Elias

Danny Marie Elias is a make-up, hair and prosthetics artist with a broad range of experience including film, TV, fashion, media and editorial. Believing firmly in the power of education, not only as a tool for maintaining her work but also for educating her team and the generation still to come. In 2013 she took on the role of studio manager of Gorton Studio, a world-renowned make-up and prosthetics training facility. She was the principal tutor there for several years while continuing to work on large productions as part of the Millennium FX team. Denise and Janice Tunnell are accomplished international make-up artists, beauty experts and entrepreneurs. The Tunnell twins have each had 20-year careers that cover many facets of the entertainment industry including film, television, theater and print. Credits include House of Cards, Atlanta, Survivor’s Remorse, Underground, Hunger Games, Furious 7 and Captain America. The sisters have co-hosted an online radio show for the past 10 years called Beauty Talk and are the creators of a cosmetics line for women of color called Illusions Cosmetics.

Ed Yates

Edward Yates is a prosthetic make-up artist and technician from Melbourne, Australia who has been working in film and television since completing Neill Gorton's Prosthetics School training in the UK in 2012. He has made prosthetics for actors including Ethan Hawke, Sarah Snook, and Martin Freeman. His film credits include: Upgrade, Cargo and Predestination and he has worked on Australian and US television series like Glitch, Ash vs Evil Dead and more recently Preacher. Since beginning his journey into prosthetics he has been trained by an Emmy winner and a BAFTA winner and believes there is always more to learn.

Emily Clayton

Emily Clayton is a talented make-up artist who also goes by the name of Vanity Venom. Clayton won the 2015 NYX U.K. and Ireland FACE (Fine Artistry of Cosmetics Elites) Awards, and from 2017 to 2018, she was the head make-up artist for Cirque le Soir in Dubai. Recently she collaborated with Jean Paul Gaultier on a feature for Elle Middle East, and she was featured in Make-Up Artist magazine (Issue 129).

Emma Faulkes

Emma Faulkes specializes in prosthetic make-up and is a two-time Emmy award winner for her recent work with BGFX on Game of Thrones. She studied at the London College of Fashion achieving an FDA in Specialist Make-up for TV & Film and then went on to study at MUD Los Angeles before returning to London in 2008 and beginning her career on the Harry Potter franchise alongside Nick Dudman. She later went on to work on X-Men First Class with other credits including The Iron Lady, WWZ, Thor, 47 Ronin and Star Wars.

Francesco Fabiani

Francesco Fabiani is a highly experience and talented sculptor who has contributed his work to some of the biggest block busters globally. For such legendary artists as, Mark Coulier, David White, Conor O’Sulivan, John Nolan and Neil Gorton’s Millennium FX. With over 10 years experience, he started working in the industry in 2007 in his home town of Rome. He then moved to the UK in 2012. Where he quickly became one of the staple prosthetic and character sculptors at the renowned, KM Effects Studios, owned and run by Kristyan Mallet. During this period, Fabiani worked on some of the worlds largest productions including Star Wars, The Mummy and Mission Impossible.    

Gemma Horner

Gemma Horner is a London/Essex based freelance make-up artist, who is also part of the Kryolan UK and Kryolan international make-up team for over 10 years, she has worked in all disciplines of the make-up industry, from theater to fashion, bodypainting to camouflage. Horner is Kryolan UK's head of education and holds several workshops at the Covent Garden store. She has taught in countless schools, colleges and universities across the UK. She has held  presentation on main stage at some of the worlds biggest make up trade shows such at IMATS London, United Make Up Artist Expo, Make Up Artist Design Show, Global Face Art, Professional Beauty, Olympia. Horner's teaching skills have lead her to travel across the world for Kryolan to hold classes and seminars in India, Sri Lanka, Nepul, Dubai and Germany. Horner's make-up skills have been featured for London & Essex fashion week. Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model Live, Coldplay's Charlie Brown Music Video, Princess Diana Concert,  Common Wealth Games, Tresos Paris, Pink London and most recently some of the X Factor television series including the live final. Her work has been featured in industry magazines such as Make-Up Artist magazine, Make-Up International and Illusion. Horner has traveled the world extensively working alongside the Kryolan team, on America's Next Top Model Live (Canada), Miss Universe (The Bahamas), Bambi Awards (Berlin), The World Bodypainting Festival (Austria) and several fashion shows (Berlin, Marbella). She has also filmed tutorial videos for Kryolan Cosmetics and designed Kryolan trend looks for 2014.

Ida Astero Welle

Ida Astero Welle is a recognized International Beauty and special effects make-up artist working in Oslo, Norway and Europe. A graduate from Theatrical Make-up for TV and Film, and Special Effects Make-up studies in Poland and Norway, Welle has acquired 9 years' experience in the make-up industry, working on a variety of different artistry styles from commercial, film and theater work, to more avant-garde work within stage, events and art-films. Starting out as a sketch artist and painter, Welle's passion turned to character creation and design in her early 20s. Since moving to Norway her passion has taken her further, developing into a skilled prosthetic technician, and she has proven to be one of very few artists who master both beauty make-up as well as prosthetic sculpting and on set make-up application. In the last year, Welle has enjoyed the roles of head of make-up for Tommy Wirkola's new feature film Kurt Josef Wagle and makeup designer for episodes 2, 3 and 4 of Ylvis' new TV series Stories from Norway, for which she won the prestigious Golden Screen award for her make-up work in 2018.

James Molloy

James Molloy is a make-up artist with a vast range of skills, from designing high fashion looks to refined red carpet glamour as well as creating beautifully polished skin. James’ editorial work has appeared in Numero, Harper's Bazaar, i-D, Tatler, Vogue and 10 Magazine. His celebrity clients include Rita Ora, Emma Watson, Liv Tyler, Kanye West and Dita Von Teese. James Olney

After an extensive career in the design industry James Olney decided to take the leap and quit his job with nothing ahead of him but the belief that he could become a make-up artist. He taught himself as much as he could and plugged the gaps with classical sculpture tuition from renowned artist Andrew Sinclair at The Sculpture School, followed by character creation tuition from Hollywood superstar Don Lanning and then an extensive prosthetics course at Gorton Studio under the incredible Stuart Conran (Hellraiser, Shaun of the Dead, Saving Private Ryan, the list goes on…). In between making contacts and picking up a variety of freelance work he undertook a tenure as special effects lecturer at college level and then transitioned into course assistant at the far more exciting Gorton Studio. James has exhibited at IMATS and The Prosthetics Event, demo’ed at UMAE for The Makeup Armoury and is delighted to be demoing for them again at IMATS London 2019, as well as competing in Battle of the Brushes the day before. Lucy Sibbick has worked in film and television for 14 years as a make-up, hair and prosthetic artist. Her credits include Beautiful People, Exodus: Gods and Kings, Game of Thrones and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Sibbick also worked for Coulier Creatures. This year she won a BAFTA, an Academy Award and a Make-up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Award for her work on Darkest Hour, along with Kazuhiro Tsuji and David Malinowski.

Max Payn

Max Payn has worked in the film, theater and TV industry for over 15 years. In that time he has specialized not only in creature effects and makeup but has worked in costume, film making and has dabbled in animatronics and design. Payn is an accomplished sculpter of both organic and hard edged form. These skills have spanned makeup, creatures and costume and his most recent credits include Men in Black: International, Spiderman Homecoming, Ammosnite. At this year’s IMATS, Payn is showcasing an original design from his upcoming personal film project “Drexis - Ghosts of Utopia” which he has been developing behind the scenes of his busy career for some time.

Neil Morrill

Neil Morrill is a sculptor/make-up effects artist, with over 24 years of experience in the UK and Canada. His work includes Band of Brothers, The Descent, Crimson Peak, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Strain and more recently Hereditary and IT. Morrill was credited as supervisor/designer on Suicide Squad and the upcoming DC film Shazam.

Nelly Recchia

Nelly is a world famous air brush and bodypaint artist whose work has graced everything from magazine spreads to feature films. Her trademark dark, fantasy-inspired style is as instantly recognizable as it is unequaled.

Patt Foad

Patt Foad studied make-up and hair at the Christine Blundell Makeup Academy before later specializing in prosthetic make-up and graduating the Dick Smith Advanced Makeup Course with an exceptional caliber certificate. Foad's film credits include Maleficent; working under Rick Baker's Cinovation Studios, Guardians of the Galaxy; and HBO's upcoming Chernobyl miniseries. His work on Game of Thrones spans five seasons and can be seen in Emmy award-winning episodes “The Door” and “Beyond the Wall.”

Phyllis Cohen

Phyllis Cohen has worked for many publications including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Tatler and Dazed & Confused, and for celebrities such as David Bowie, Annie Lennox and Daphne Guinness. Her body paintings have appeared in many advertising campaigns. Cohen has created bespoke facial adornments for fashion work since the ’80s. She has a master’s degree in fine art from Goldsmiths University of London. In 2012, she launched Face Lace, intricate ready-to-wear make-up designs, now sold in 15 countries worldwide.

Award-winning special make-up effects artist and director Rod Maxwell has melded digital and practical effects for more than two decades in projects including his film The Wishing Well. He created the Flesh Master Color System and Flesh Master game for iOS to help artists learn color matching. He also teaches Cinema Makeup School classes on out-of-kit make-up effects, advanced prosthetics, creature maquette and digital effects. Maxwell is a former Face Off competitor.

Rosemary Obi

RM, born Rosemary Obi, is an Industrial Mathematician turned professional make-up designer with over 12 years experience in the world of bridal, film and creative make-up industry. She is the pioneer of the first ever make-up reality show in Africa, Project FX Makeup Show Africa. Through this show, RM has discovered talents across Africa. On a mission to take Africa’s most talented make-up artists to the world of film and television, Project FX Make-Up Show Africa, the brainchild of Rosemary Obi, is looking to supercharge the careers of a new generation of home-grown African make-up artists. RM has trained well over 500 professional make-up artists across Africa.

After graduating from Teesside University with a BA in Creative Visualization in 2000, Sarah Gower began working in the visual effects department of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. She has worked for Framestore and Cinesite on projects such as X-Men: First Class and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. Sarah is Co-Director at prosthetics company BGFX Ltd and runs all projects alongside husband Barrie.  Her work on HBO’s Game of Thrones has earned her a Primetime Emmy award and MUAHS Guild Award.

Siân Richards

Siân Richards is a single mother of two and an award-winning make-up artist. Richards has worked in every avenue that make-up demands, from editorial to special effects. She won The People’s Critics Choice Award for transforming Halle Berry in Cloud Atlas and was Emmy and 706 Guild Award nominated for her transformation of Queen Latifah into ’30s blues icon Bessie Smith. Richards was the personal make-up artist to Chadwick Boseman on Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and others. She wrapped Avengers 4 (Untitled) this year. She also has a successful brand called Siân Richards London.

Thomas E. Surprenant

Thomas E. Surprenant

Thomas E. Surprenant has been a make-up artist for more than 30 years and has developed products and techniques to further the craft. He has been nominated for three Emmys and has won twice. Surprenant has also been part of two Academy Award-winning make-up crews and has received a Make-up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild award. He has contributed to Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, the Syfy show Defiance and has designed brushes for the Bdellium Tools SFX line.

Ve Neill is one of the most renowned make-up artists in the motion picture business. She has earned 21 international nominations that include eight Oscar nominations.
