Are you worried that you may look foolish on a production set because your work isn’t photographing correctly? Lighting is the key element that can define our work. If you answered yes, this class is for you!

Welcome to the Lighting for Makeup Artists101© workshop, by two-time Emmy-nominated make-up artist Sara Seidman Vance. Lighting for Makeup Artists101© is designed for anyone who wants to understand the core values behind lighting technology both on set and on location.

In this class you will learn:

-How correct lighting works to filter and create the perfect balance in make-up.

-How to be able to determine how your make-up will appear under different lighting circumstances.

-How to be able to interact with the Director of Photography or Lighting Designer with confidence.

What to Bring:

-All students are requested kindly to arrive without wearing any make-up products, as you will all be working on each other. All students must have basic make-up skills.

-Full make-up and skin prep kit – foundations and highlighters for global skin tones (foundation palettes are great!).

-Make-up brushes and brush cleaner.

Artistry Unlocked – How To Be An Expert TV & Movie Make-up Day Player & Background Supervisor

This class will focus on the ins and outs of how to wrangle background extras, featured extras, stunt and photo doubles. Artists will be taught how to organize, set up and work with the tools/equipment needed. We will also go over what it takes to get extras ready for period and futuristic looks, glamour and every day. We will also focus on how to get your talent ready for their call times.
