Join other professional make-up artists for a preview of IMATS London! This exclusive event is for Make-Up Artist magazine Pro-Card holders only. From 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, you can shop leisurely (exhibitors are reserving products and offering deals) and network.

Throughout the weekend, other Make-Up Artist Pro Card perks include front-of-the-line service, preferred classroom seating and pro-only discounts from participating exhibitors.

Ticket pre-registration is now required for all days of the show! You will find ticket allotments for each Pro-Card type when you register for your tickets.

To attend, you must visit the IMATS London tickets page and enter your Pro-Card information to register.

A MASTER CLASS IN DIGITAL MAKE-UP DESIGN FEATURING ROD MAXWELL

Rod Maxwell teaches a master class on digital make-up design from preproduction to post. See how he uses programs including Adobe Photoshop, ZBrush and mocha Pro to design make-ups—from beauty and old-age to creatures and monsters—for pre-visualization or presentation to your clients. You’ll also learn how cutting-edge 3-D printers print molds that can actually be used to create prosthetics. And you’ll see how 2-D images can be used like prosthetics and attached to actors’ faces in post!

The Horror of War: Cliff Wallace Goes Behind the Scenes of Kajaki

Described as ‘the British Hurt Locker,’ Kajaki tells the story of a group of British soldiers stationed at Afghanistan’s Kajaki Dam in 2006, where a routine assignment turns into a life and death nightmare, when a dry riverbed turns out to be a decades-old Russian mine field. The film’s Special Effects Make-up Designer Cliff Wallace describes the job of bringing this harrowing real-life drama to life in all its dirt and blood-soaked glory.

Recreation of Famous Face Off Character

Special effects artist and two time Face Off finalist Tate Steinsiek will be recreating one of his most recognizable characters from Season Five of Face Off. He will be utilizing and detailing foam latex application as well as blending, hand painting and airbrush techniques.  Keynote speaker Steve Johnson will work alongside Steinsiek demonstrating how to finish a character head to toe. Steinsiek and Johnson will also make an announcement for new events through Ill Willed FX Workshops.
