It’s no surprise that A-list celebrities have a team of people dedicated to making them look beautiful, but who is dedicated to that team? Enter Erodney Davis, founder and CEO of Basic White Shirt (BWS), a boutique agency representing beauty influencers and hair and make-up artists to the stars.
Davis began his career in 1996 on Madison Avenue, eventually guiding the development of award winning ad campaigns for AT&T, Revlon & Tommy Hilfiger and moonlighting as part-time personal assistant to Celebrity Makeup Artist and Author, Sam Fine. Over a decade after developing acute business acumen alongside visionaries from the world of Advertising, Davis changed course, leaving corporate America behind with only his savings and a desire to work in a more fashion-centric capacity. A month later, he began freelancing in New York & Milan, casting models for runway shows and ad campaigns for clients like Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani. In 2008, a year into his newfound career path, Davis experienced a full-circle moment when Sam Fine tapped him to manage Fine’s freelance bookings and eventually other clients came calling. BWS has since represented a cadre of industry icons, including Fine, Sir John, Renny Vasquez, Kiyah Wright, Oslyn Holder, rising star, Mila Thomas, and social media phenomenon, Nyakim Gatwech.
Based in New York City, Davis continues to nurture creative talent and is passionate about helping the next generation of beauty pros navigate the business of Beauty.
