Lisa Hansell

Lisa Hansell caught the FX makeup bug in 2005 at a Star Trek convention where she met her soon-to-be husband, Tim Vittetoe, who turned her into a Vulcan that year (#Nerd!). Her passion for the craft brought her to the Los Angeles area 8 years ago and into the indy film scene. She’s largely self-taught and has been blessed with the ability to work with and learn from legends such as Kevin Haney, Brad Look, Gil Mosko and Thomas Surprenant to name a few.

“Aliens are my jam.” says Lisa. She is skilled at beauty makeup as well, but the variety inherent in FX work feeds her soul. She’s been fortunate to transform the likes of Ed Begley Jr., Doug Jones, Cas Anvar, Beau Billingslea, and a host of other talented performers. Her go-to makeup story is getting to paint Lou Ferrigno green…again.

Lisa will be making IMATS LA magic with Thomas Surprenant at the Kryolan booth this year. Please stop by, say hello, and try to stump her with Star Trek trivia.
