Thomas E. Surprenant has been a make-up artist for more than 30 years and has developed products and techniques to further the craft. He has been nominated for three Emmys and has won twice. Matthew Richard and Dannica Lamoureux – Application techniques and mixology

Dannica Lamoureux, MAKE UP FOR EVER’s National Educator, is a make-up artist and trainer with over two decades of industry and sales experience. Her magnetic personality and on-camera presence has landed her many media opportunities. Her list of celebrity clients include Kehlani, Ria Mae, Martin Short and Gord Bamford.

 

Matthew Richard is a Montreal-based professional make-up artist. Following his love and passion for all things make-up and artistry, he became a Senior Artist at Sephora for many years before joining the MAKE UP FOR EVER team as influencer relations lead.

 

Together they form an incredible team of educators training professional makeup artists across the country. Today, they will demonstrate application techniques and mixology using MAKE UP FOR EVER’s iconic Ultra HD Foundation. Please welcome Dannica and Matthew!

Sian Richards and Neil Morrill

Siân Richards is a single mother of two and an award-winning make-up artist. Richards has worked in every avenue that make-up demands, from editorial to special effects. She won The People’s Critics Choice Award for transforming Halle Berry in Cloud Atlas and was Emmy and 706 Guild Award nominated for her transformation of Queen Latifah into ’30s blues icon Bessie Smith. Richards was the personal make-up artist to Chadwick Boseman on Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and others. She wrapped Avengers 4 (Untitled) this year. She also has a successful brand called Siân Richards London.

Neil Morrill is a sculptor/make-up effects artist, with over 24 years of experience in the UK and Canada. His work includes Band of Brothers, The Descent, Crimson Peak, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Strain and more recently Hereditary and IT. Morrill was credited as supervisor/designer on Suicide Squad and the upcoming DC film Shazam.

“Get ready” with Ankita! She’ll first share with us her technique for everyday beauty, then transform it into a traditional yet modern Indian wedding bridal look. While sharing her secrets behind the perfect winged liner and securing her Indian jewels, she will also reveal how her personal retro style plays in with the bridal make-up looks she creates. She’ll expand with insights about how to accessorize based on your make-up and outfit, or vice versa.  To top off, she’ll reveal some of her main pointers for perfecting the traditional Indian bride or wedding guest make-up look. Don’t miss out on this exclusive demo!

Marika D’Auteuil

Marika hails from a small town in northern Quebec, Canada, where she is found a way to stand out and break through the mold. Following a suggestion from her mom, she began to experiment on herself with makeup. She developed a fascination for colors and textures and organized photo shoots to immortalize her first creations. Conceptual photography and editorial looks are styles that interest her most. She has been able to count Le Cirque du Soleil, Nivea, L’Oreal, Sephora & Make Up For Ever among her clients and her work has been seen on television as well as in international magazines and on New-York Fashion Week runways.
 
She now teaches master classes since 2018 which has allowed her to teach in Canada, France and South America.

Tami Lane

When Tami Lane was in college she took a tour of KNB EFX Group Inc. where she met Howard Berger and Greg Nicotero. This meeting changed her life. Two weeks after graduating, in May 1996, Lane moved to L.A. and started work at KNB. Thus, her career in make-up effects began. In 1999, Lane traveled to New Zealand to work on The Lord of the Rings trilogy where she reunited with Berger for the The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe—both were awarded the Academy Award for Best Makeup in 2006. Lane was again nominated in 2012 for her work on The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and for an Emmy in 2016 for Sons of Anarchy. Lane currently resides in L.A. and continues to work around the world.

Gregory Arlt

Award-winning make-up artist Gregory Arlt is the director of make-up artistry for M.A.C. in Los Angeles. Born and raised in L.A., he has been doing make-up professionally for over 25 years. Arlt started out with a major in art history and theater and began his make-up career at the prestigious boutique Fred Segal in 1989. A red carpet expert, Arlt works with some of the most famous faces in the world including Gwen Stefani, Angelina Jolie, Katy Perry, Liza Minnelli, Alicia Keys, Cher and Victoria Beckham. He appears regularly as a beauty expert on TV shows such as Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, CNN and E! Entertainment Television. His work has also been seen in the pages of the hottest fashion magazines including Vogue, Allure, Elle, Glamour, and Harper’s Bazaar. Most recently, he did Gwen Stefani’s make-up on three seasons of The Voice.
