Adamme the Beauty Warrior

Meet Adamme the Beauty Warrior: a licensed cosmetologist, beauty, fashion and entertainment make-up artist. Adamme appeared on both seasons of the TV show Global Beauty Masters—first as a contestant, winning the Champion Global MUA Trophy presented by Kryolan Professional Make-up, and then as a judge. He is a red carpet beauty correspondent for make-up conventions, as well as a platform artist and ambassador for multiple brands like Kryolan. Adamme has dedicated his life to performance, dance and beauty artistry. After attending the prestigious Roosevelt School for the Arts, he spent many years as an apprentice with M.A.C. and serving as a lead artist at Dior, Laura Mercier and Make Up For Ever Paris. His infectious laugh and charismatic personality made Adamme a fan favorite on Season 2 of Dance Your A** Off.  

Amber Trudeau

With just under 10 years in the make-up profession, Amber Trudeau has made commercials, TV shows and movies her primary focus. She has designed for CBC’s On the Farm: A True Story, ABC’s Dead of Summer, Netflix’s Travelers Season 2 and CW’s iZombie. Trudeau has been nominated multiple times for a Leo Award and she took home a win on iZombie. She has also designed her own skin illustrator palette with Premier Products, developing the Amber Trudeau’s iZombie Palette with new colors that no one has ever seen before.

Calla Syna Dreyer

Calla Syna Dreyer has made a successful career on the west coast of British Columbia doing what she loves: playing a creative part in making movies and television. The Leo-nominated make-up artist has more than a decade of experience and over 50 credits in the film and television industry. Her work is featured on A-list faces on projects such as The Flash, The Man in the High Castle, The Arrangement, Shut Eye, Fringe and many more.

Caroline Dehner

Caroline Dehner brings over 30 years of experience as a hairstylist to IMATS—having worked as platform artist for Goldwell USA and as a master colorist. She moved into film and TV 19 years ago, and is best known for her period work as well as her wig experience. Dehner has 50 credits to date and is currently designing her third season of The Man in the High Castle for Amazon. 

Cory Roberts

In 1986, Cory Roberts snuck onto a film set and attempting to hide from security she ended up in the hair and make-up trailer. She never wanted to leave, and, in essence, she never did. Flash forward 14 years later, Roberts has won a Leo and become department head on The 100. This once hardened make-up outlaw is now living her dream. She feels amazingly blessed, is super busy and ridiculously happy.

David De Leon

David De Leon is an Emmy-winning make-up artist. Additionally, he is a guest artist and speaker at make-up schools, conventions and seminars worldwide. He began his career working in theater and as an esthetician in salons. Eventually, De Leon worked his way up to doing make-up for movies, television, print and red-carpet events with celebrities, including Barbra Streisand, Jane Fonda, Ellen DeGeneres and Sarah Michelle Gellar. His love of make-up continually propels De Leon toward his next great adventure!    

Jennifer Little

Jon Hennessey

Known as an international artist, educator and agency owner, Jon Hennessey’s 25-year career in the fashion and beauty industries has taken him from Milan to Mexico City, Dublin to Dubai and countless other cities and countries. For two decades, he has shared his knowledge and creative approach with tens of thousands of artists, as well as mentoring some of the most dynamic talent in the industry today. 

Juliet Landau

Juliet Landau co-starred in Tim Burton’s Ed Wood and opposite Whoopi Goldberg in Theodore Rex. Landau created the role of Drusilla on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, appearing on Buffy and Angel over the course of six seasons. Landau also directed the documentary Take Flight about, and for, Gary Oldman, and co-directed Dream Out Loud with her husband Deverill Weekes, which features interviews with Guillermo del Toro, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Rian Johnson. She and Weekes are co-directing the feature film A Place Among the Dead and a six-part documentary series, A Place Among the Undead, which covers every aspect of vampires in myth and pop culture.

Kevin James Bennett is known across the industry as one of the most product-driven, business-focused artists of a generation. Not only is he an Emmy Award winner and incredibly successful make-up artist, he is a leader and educator in all aspects of the industry, an inspirational voice and, without a doubt, one of the most intensive product experts.  

Lyle Reimer

Lyle Reimer’s studies at the Blanche Macdonald Centre have allowed him to push the boundaries of make-up and beauty. Shortly after graduation, Reimer began a career in make-up with M.A.C. Cosmetics and has spent 15 years honing his craft and building loyal clientele. His extraordinary mixed-media portraits have attracted global attention in the beauty industry. Reimer has collaborated with Viktor & Rolf, Gucci and Bea Akerlund—and he’s been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Huffington Post, Vogue Italia, Paper magazine, Models.com, GQ China, Candy magazine and Tush magazine.
Mahealani Diego

Mahealani Diego

Best known for her work on Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Godzilla, Mahealani Diego’s fashion work has also been seen around the world at New York Fashion Week, Couture Fashion Week, Dominican Republic Fashion Week, Bucharest Fashion Week and India International Fashion Week. Upcoming film projects include Jumanji: Welcome to The Jungle and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Mimi Choi

Mimi Choi is known for her surreal illusionist make-up creations using easy-to-find, everyday make-up products. The Blanche Macdonald graduate-turned-instructor has collaborated with Mehron, Kryolan, Make Up For Ever, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Velour Lashes and musician Beck. Her work has also been featured in various international magazines, blogs and websites with more than 19 million views. Choi’s stunning illusionist creations have garnered her a flourishing online following of over 340,000 on Instagram (gaining nearly 250,000 in less than six months).

Natalie Cosco

Natalie Cosco is an accomplished make-up artist in both film and TV. Her career spans 30 years of working on many iconic productions, such as CW’s Smallville (a two time Leo Award winner), AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, TNT’s Falling Skies and designing (currently) for the hit Amazon series The Man in the High Castle. Her latest in film work is 20th Century Fox’s The Mountain Between Us—to be released in October. Cosco has built a long and trusted reputation in the film industry under all categories of make-up whether it be period, contemporary beauty, blood effects or prosthetics.  

Norma Hill-Patton

Award-winning make-up artist Norma Hill-Patton began her career in her native England at the BBC working on productions such as The Cleopatras; I, Claudius and French and Saunders. She went on to do Out of Africa, Mister Johnson and A Far Off Place. She relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1991, where she designed for films such as X-Men 2, Catwoman, The A-Team, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Interview. She is a personal to Halle Berry, with whom she is working on the film Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

Tanya Deemer

Tanya Deemer has almost two decades of experience in the fashion/beauty industry. She is a licensed celebrity make-up and hair artist whose work can be seen from the runways of New York Fashion Week to Hollywood’s big screen. She can also be seen on Extra TV and The Doctors as a celebrity make-up and hair artist, teaching the viewers some industry tips and tricks. Deemer also serves as a global educator at such venues as IMATS and recently launched her Makeup Artistry Certification program at the South Bay LA Makeup Artistry Institute.

Tanya Howard

Starting her make-up career 17 years ago, Tanya Howard is proud of her CW creations on series like Emily Owens M.D., the iZombie pilot, The 100 and Arrow. She enjoys every aspect of her job, from beauty to all the gory films in her more than 55 credits. Howard’s career has enabled her to travel and work in some amazing places such as Germany and Croatia. She is truly grateful to her terrific team of make-up artists, casts and crews.
Thomas E. Surprenant

Thomas E. Surprenant

Thomas E. Surprenant has been a make-up artist for more than 30 years and has developed products and techniques to further the craft. He has been nominated for three Emmys and has won twice. Surprenant has also been part of two Academy Award-winning make-up crews and has received a Make-up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild award. He has contributed to Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, the Syfy show Defiance and has designed brushes for the Bdellium Tools SFX line.

Timothy Hung

Timothy Hung is an international make-up artist known for his unique concepts and bridging fashion with make-up. Since graduating from Blanche Macdonald Centre in 2006, Hung has worked for several fashion weeks and international publications, such as Elle and Maxim. As a celebrated artist for his originality, Hung has collaborated with various brands, including Pat McGrath, Kat Von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Sugarpill and Jeffree Star. He is currently represented by Canada's premier agency Judy Inc.
Todd McIntosh

Todd McIntosh

Todd McIntosh is considered an industry veteran make-up artist with an old-school style. He has experience in news, variety shows, local TV dramas, theatres and featured films. He’s written make-up curriculum for the Blanche MacDonald Institute’s make-up division in Canada and holds the position of executive director. He has been, and still continues to be, active in the make-up artist community. He has achieved two Emmy awards and 12 nominations. He won his first Emmy in 1998 for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and his second in 2009 for Pushing Daisies

Zabrina Matiru

With 15 years’ experience as a make-up artist, Zabrina Matiru’s career has ranged from commercials to acclaimed television series. She is also personal make-up artist to Michael Bublé and Javier Bardem, as well as for the legendary athletes of Team Jordan. Among Matiru’s career highlights are designing make-up for The Muppets of Oz, Once Upon a Time, CW’s Supernatural—and teaching at Vancouver Film School. Currently, she is the make-up department head for Lost In Space Season Two.
