Brian Champagne has been a professional make-up artist for 30 years and is the three-time U.S. and world champion facialist in Bio-Therapeutic’s Face of the Future contest. Champagne will be the host of the 2018 Competition. His clients include Miss USA, Miss Universe, Selena and Reba McEntire. And he’s worked on the Oscars, Houston Rodeo and the Emmy Awards. Champagne is a social media sensation, a top educator and holds the world record for the largest make-up workshop in history known as Living Legends and Friends. She has worked with brands and companies including Disney, Sony, Warner Bros., NBC, Universal Studios, Fox, Legacy Effects and Ocean Park Hong Kong. Sens has also worked on projects including The Orville, 2017 Fall/Winter Gucci Campaign and Avengers: Infinity War, to name a few. She has been featured in Vogue, Make-Up Artist magazine and the book The Leading Ladies of Makeup Effects.

Dany Sanz

Dany Sanz is the creator and artistic director of MAKE UP FOR EVER. In the 1980s, there were very few products available to professional make-up artists; with the help of her husband, she launched MAKE UP FOR EVER in 1984. She created a MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy in 2002. With the brand in more than 52 countries, it’s easy to see how her mission to create high-quality make-up for professionals and everyday women has succeeded.

Doug Jones

A native of Indianapolis, Doug Jones graduated from Ball State University with a minor in theater. He moved to Los Angeles in 1985 and has been working ever since. He’s acted in more than 25 films, including Hocus Pocus, Batman Returns, Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army and Crimson Peak. He has earned widespread appraise for many roles, and is beloved as a true character actor.

Frederick Sanders

Frederick Sanders has been making up clients since 2004. His long list of celebrity clientele includes Erika Alexander, MC Lyte, Chante Moore, Phylicia Rashad, Pastor Shirley Caesar and India Arie. He is an in-demand make-up artist for events including BET Honors, the Grammys, and the Essence Music Festival—he’s also created looks for the shows R&B Divas: Los Angeles, Married to Medicine and Braxton Family Values. Sanders teaches a master class in body painting and specializes in brows, skin and airbrush. He finds joy in teaching and has become a master airbrush educator for TEMPTU.    

Hugo Villaseñor

Hugo Villaseñor has been working in film and TV for almost 14 years. He’s a graduate of Make-up Designory in Burbank, Calif. Some of his credits include ClownScouts Guide to the Zombie ApocalypseThe Conjuring 2The Bad BatchMystery Science Theater 3000 and Annabelle: Creation. He's currently working as key prosthetics on the new Star Trek: Discovery TV series.

James MacKinnon

As a Journeyman Makeup Artist, James MacKinnon has 31 years of film and television experience in all aspects of makeup, special effects, and design.    James has 5  Emmy’s for his work on StarTrek Discovery, Nip/Tuck," American Horror Story: “Freak Show”, “Hotel”, and “Roanoke”, he also boasts three Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Artisan Awards and numerous other Emmy and H&MU Guild Award nominations for outstanding makeup.   James’ years of working on the Star Trek franchise including “Deep Space 9", "Voyager", and "Star Trek First Contact” has led him to the coveted position of Department Head of Prosthetics and Makeup Effects for "Star Trek: Discovery” (Season 1 & 2) and Department Head of Prosthetics and Makeup Design on Patrick Stuart’s new “Picard”, airing on CBS All Access. Jan 23 2020    James has served as Department Head or Key Makeup Artist on over 115 projects in his career ranging from 4 films in the "Fast and the Furious" franchise, “Stigmata”, “GI Joe 2", "Priest", and “Halloween H2O”, to "Parks and Recreation", “Alias”, "CSI NY", "Providence", and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch" to name a few. He also transformed Ashton Kutcher into Steve Jobs, for the 2013 Biography, "Jobs".   James believes in always learning and growing, adding to his vast knowledge of makeup design and techniques, and honing his craft. Jane McKay

Senior make-up artist Jane McKay has had an expansive career. McKay began as an esthetician but changed course in 1989 when she was hired by M.A.C. to create and lead its global artist training division. One defining moment at M.A.C. was when co-founder Frank Toskan sent her to appear on Oprah in his place in front of an audience of 80 million. After 10 years at M.A.C., McKay left to concentrate on her make-up artistry. Today, McKay hosts master classes, writes for various publications and designs make-up looks for photo shoots and fashion shows across international cities.

Kelseyanna Fitzpatrick

Recognizable in the make-up industry for her unexpected play on texture, color and shape, Kelseyanna Fitzpatrick approaches beauty as high art, using the face as her canvas. After completing Blanche Macdonald Centre’s Global Makeup Artistry Program, Fitzpatrick pursued a concentration in advanced special effects at Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles. She has been featured in numerous fashion publications, global campaigns and on the runway. Fitzpatrick emerged as the Best Makeup Artist Finalist at the 2016 Canadian Contessa Awards.

Kevin James Bennett is known across the industry as one of the most product-driven, business-focused artists of a generation. Not only is he an Emmy Award winner and incredibly successful make-up artist, he is a leader and educator in all aspects of the industry, an inspirational voice and, without a doubt, one of the most intensive product experts.  

Leah Carmichael

Leah Carmichael has been a make-up artist for over 15 years, working extensively in beauty and fashion. Carmichael assisted the legendary Francesca Tolot and is no stranger to music videos either, having worked on Beyoncé’s Grammy Award-winning visual album Lemonade. Carmichael’s signature skill: comprehensive complexion expertise, from shade matching and corrective work to adjusting skin texture and finish.

Marietta Carter-Narcisse

Marietta Carter-Narcisse, internationally renowned educator and celebrity make-up artist, has a passion for sharing beauty--whether with a color palette in hand, brush poised before a famous face or lecturing before a classroom full of a new generation of artists. Her film and television credits include Sparkle, The Negotiator, Sphere, Malcolm X, Boyz n the Hood, Ghost and Whitney, which she received a Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild nomination. Carter-Narcisse has also been published in numerous industry publications, e.g. Make-Up Artist Magazine as well as authored several works of her own, including The Official Film & Television Planner and an industry terminology book Roll Sound…Rolling…Speed…Marker…ACTION. Carter-Narcisse is highly involved in the industry and is even a voting member of the prestigious Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Maryse Gosselin

Working at Cirque du Soleil since 2003, Maryse has collaborated in more than 14 creations including Zumanity, Kà, Corteo, Love, Wintuk, Zaia, Iris, Ovo, Amaluna and Kurios. In 2014, she held the key make-up artist position on Toruk - The First Flight inspired by James Cameron’s Avatar. More recently this year, she designed the make-up on the two newest productions Sonor and Viaggio, presented on the largest cruise ship in Europe with Cirque du Soleil at Sea.

Michael Astalos

Before he was a lighting specialist, Michael Astalos was a professional photographer. After marrying a professional make-up artist in 1990, he built the first make-up station incorporating both daylight and tungsten lamps in a portable system that would become the industry standard for film, TV and commercials; he supplies these through Cases for Visual Arts. In 2014, he introduced a new line of LED lights, and his latest company, The Makeup Light, was born.

Paisley Mattes

Paisley Mattes is a professional make-up artist from Kingston, Ontario. She has been painting faces and beautifying brides for more than five years and has a 100k+ following on Instagram @beautybypaisley. She posts everything from colorful fun make-up to sultry glam looks. Mattes is a huge fan of keeping her kit stocked with the best make-up in the industry.

Sébastien Tardif

For more than 20 years, acclaimed make-up artist Sébastien Tardif has beautified celebrities including Naomi Campbell, Jane Fonda, Olivia Palermo and Raven Symone.  He has led make-up direction for over 100 fashion-week shows in New York and internationally. His signature illuminated make-up has appeared in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle magazines. Tardif is also the creator of Veil Cosmetics.

Shaune Harrison

Shaune Harrison is a successful special make-up effects artist and the founder of the Shaune Harrison Academy in Manchester. Harrison started in the film industry in 1988 working in special make-up effects and has been a key member on productions such as the Harry Potter films, Captain America: The First Avenger, World War Z, Star Wars Episodes I and II, Stardust, Sleepy Hollow, The Mummy, The Fifth Element, The Da Vinci Code, Game Of Thrones and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Siân Richards

Siân Richards is a single mother of two and an award-winning make-up artist. Richards has worked in every avenue that make-up demands, from editorial to special effects. She won The People’s Critics Choice Award for transforming Halle Berry in Cloud Atlas and was Emmy and 706 Guild Award nominated for her transformation of Queen Latifah into ’30s blues icon Bessie Smith. Richards was the personal make-up artist to Chadwick Boseman on Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and others. She wrapped Avengers 4 (Untitled) this year. She also has a successful brand called Siân Richards London.

Stephanie Abbat

A native of Toronto, Stephanie Abbat works primarily in film and television. Known for her special effects prowess and creativity in developing characters, she was the 2015 runner up in Battle of Brushes. A graduate of Blanche Macdonald Centre in Vancouver, her love of make-up artistry was born early in her family’s Halloween/party store business. Abbat loves to explore the intersection of beauty/editorial and special effects, to create bold unexpected looks.
Thomas E. Surprenant

Thomas E. Surprenant

Thomas E. Surprenant has been a make-up artist for more than 30 years and has developed products and techniques to further the craft. He has been nominated for three Emmys and has won twice. Surprenant has also been part of two Academy Award-winning make-up crews and has received a Make-up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild award. He has contributed to Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, the Syfy show Defiance and has designed brushes for the Bdellium Tools SFX line.
