The Make-up Museum showcases famous works from film, television and advertising, created by make-up industry leaders. The museum often features rare photo collections, movie memorabilia and pieces from special make-up effects studios. Past contributors have included the Stan Winston Studio, Mike Hill, W.M. Creations, Creative Character, KNB EFX Group, the Chiodo Brothers, Creature Effects and many others. The museum is your chance to see make-up history up close.
New Jersey-based special make-up effects artist Anthony Giordano curated the 2014 museum. Giordano—a special effects fabricator, make-up artist and licensed instructor—has worked on The Last Samurai, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Saturday Night Live. He was a Disney set and costume fabricator and created NASA training suits. He worked on Broadway productions Young Frankenstein and Shrek The Musical. Musician clients include Madonna, Metallica, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Johnny Cash, David Bowie and more. He is the owner/creator of the haunted attraction State Scare.
