Nominated for an Oscar for Scrooged in 1989, Bari Dreiband-Burman has received six Emmys and 23 nominations for her work in, among others, Grey’s Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and Tracy Takes On…  Dreiband-Burman is currently executive producing the upcoming documentary feature Making Apes:  The Artists Who Changed Film. On fighting stereotypes, Dreiband-Burman says, “I think what you bring to the table is not gender-specific.  I think when I started other people made it an issue.  It wasn’t an issue to me.  Physical strength was sometimes an issue, but I found a way to solve it because I wanted to be an independent, highly functional person that didn’t need help.”
