IMATS Vancouver Hosts ‘The Man in the High Castle’ Panel
IMATS Vancouver is proud to present: From an Alternate Reality, a dystopian panel that will be moderated by Charles Porlier. He will be joined by The Man in the High Castle’s make-up department head and designer Natalie Cosco as well as hair department head and designer Caroline Dehner. The panel will engage in a discussion covering their work on the successful series.

Natalie Cosco is an accomplished make-up artist in both film and TV. Her career spans 30 years of working on many iconic productions, such as CW’s Smallville (a two-time Leo Award winner), AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead and TNT’s Falling Skies. Her latest in film work is 20th Century Fox’s The Mountain Between Us.
Caroline Dehner brings over 30 years of experience as a hairstylist to IMATS—having worked as platform artist for Goldwell USA and as a master colorist. She moved into film and TV 19 years ago, and is best known for her period work as well as her wig experience. Dehner has 50 credits to date and is currently designing her third season of The Man in the High Castle for Amazon.
Two-time Emmy winner Charles Porlier is dedicated to furthering the craft of make-up. “It’s about sharing, really,” he says. “I enjoy helping new artists reconcile the myths with the realities of our competitive business.” Porlier’s 32-year career has included work on such films as The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, X2, Thir13en Ghosts, Door to Door and Mission to Mars. He recently worked on AMC’s The Killing and the Web series Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn.
