No, you can not sell your ticket to a third party. Due to an increase in fraudulent third-party ticket sales, the IMATS ticket policy now prohibits all third-party sales. This policy has been put in place to protect our ticket buyers and exhibitors. Tickets purchased from a third party cannot be confirmed as valid.

Ticket are not transferable, and can only be used by the person whose name is on the ticket. No exceptions.
Photo ID is required. The name on the ticket must match your photo ID. If you are the ticket purchaser and your guest is no longer able to attend you may use the ticket for another guest. You will be required to show proof you are the purchaser and must be present during check in. You will need to provide your order confirmation receipt, credit card used for purchase and photo ID.

As the world’s first-ever make-up artist trade show, we’ve always been open to the public. Our primary mission, however, has always been to serve make-up professionals. In order to meet artists’ needs and avoid overcrowding, an age limit was put in place on April 25, 2014.

Saturday and Sunday tickets may be swapped if tickets are still available. You must contact us at least 5 days prior to the event in order to swap tickets. If you are General Admission, please select the General Admission link to purchase tickets. If you are a Pro Card member, please enter your name and pro card number as it appears on your card to access available tickets. Yes, union members qualify for our Gold Make-Up Artist Pro Card which gives complimentary entry to all IMATS. You will need to complete the online application to receive a Pro Card. Please visit www.makeupmag.com/pro to apply. If we are within 7-14 days of a show you may show your union card, photo ID and online application confirmation at the ticket help desk to receive free entry to the show.

Replacement cards can be ordered online at www.makeupmag.com/shop/. There is a $10 replacement charge. For those with tickets to IMATS they will be required to purchase a replacement card and show the receipt along with their ticket for entrance. Replacement cards will not be issued until after the show. You will not receive card benefits while at the show if you do not have a physical pro card.
Yes, general-admission hours are open to the public (age restriction applies). IMATS Pro-Card Events are only open to Make-Up Artist magazine Pro-Card holders, and the date and times vary by city. We reserve the right to refuse service.
Yes! Several of our shows sell out prior to the event. We strongly advise that you purchase tickets online as soon as possible. We highly recommend buying event tickets before booking your flight or hotel. Once a day is sold out, tickets are not available to purchase at the door or over the phone.
IMATS and Make-Up Artist magazine can only accept cards with Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express (only in L.A. and N.Y.) logos.
It depends on the exhibitor. Most accept cash or credit cards. You should contact the individual exhibitor to find out for sure.
No we do not offer certification at this time.
No, pets are not allowed at IMATS. Service animals are permitted into the event with proper documentation and provided they are leashed or under similar control as appropriate. The owner takes full responsibility of his/her animal.
Tickets will go on sale approximately six months prior to the event. Check each city for show dates and links to purchase tickets.
Pro-Card Guest tickets are limited. To view available tickets please select “Buy Tickets” and login with your Pro-Card information to view available tickets. If guest tickets do not appear or they state “Pro-Card Limit Reached” then tickets are not available. Pro-Card Guests must check-in with the Pro-Card holder.
As of Jan. 28, 2014 we are working with the ticketing company ShowClix to sell our tickets, and you will be directed to their website.
No, at this time early check-in is not available. You must check-in the same day as your ticket. Example: You bought a One-Day ticket for Saturday, so you must check in Saturday.
