The Make-up Museum showcases famous works from film, television and advertising, created by make-up industry leaders. The museum often features rare photo collections, movie memorabilia and pieces from special make-up effects studios. Past contributors have included the Stan Winston Studio, Mike Hill, W.M. Creations, Creative Character, KNB EFX Group, the Chiodo Brothers, Creature Effects and many others. The museum is your chance to see make-up history up close.
The IMATS Vancouver 2015 Make-up Museum will be curated by Gideon Hay (RIGHT). He has worked on TV series, movies, stop-motion and CG animation projects, public art, prototype toys and maquettes. A few career highlights include working on Deep Rising, episodes of The X-Files, Stargate, the second and third X-Men movies, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, the second and third Night at the Museum films, Snakes on a Plane and Slither. Hay works as a freelance sculptor and teaches sculpture in Vancouver, British Columbia.
